Swally n’ Scran Beer Tasting with Five Kingdoms Brewery

Join us to in January for our Casual Five Kingdoms Beer night – the perfect way to fight off the January blues!

On the 11th January we’ll be hosting Alastair from Five Kingdoms Brewery who will be leading a 5 beer tasting session, accompanied by a full three course Swally n’ Scran dining experience.

Tickets include your beer tasting and your three course meal, the bar will remain open after the event.

Menu:

Starter:

Hearty seafood chowder with Earths Crust sourdough – Cream based soup made with Scottish mussels, queen scallops, haddock, salmon and langoustines

⁠Swally n’ Scran’s Four Prawn Cocktail – Local langoustine, brown shrimp, king prawn and crevette cocktail in a homemade marie rose sauce

Chorizo, Tomato and mixed Bean Soup – Tomato based soup with hot chorizo, mixed beans and smoked paprika 

Mains:

Queenie scallop, monkfish and smoked paprika stew – Spanish style tomato, paprika and Five Kingdoms pale ale stew with queenies, monkfish and garden herbs. Served with garlic ciabatta and thyme roast potatoes

Skipper’s Steak and Black Pudding Pie – Slow cooked Galloway beef, black pudding and Five Kingdoms bitter pie with creamy thyme mashed tatties, homemade gravy, steamed green beans and honey roast carrot

Dessert: 

Sticky Toffee Pudding –  with homemade caramel sauce (gluten free available)
