Grey mullet is a silvery, firm‑fleshed fish commonly found around the UK coastline. It has firm, lean white flesh. Mild, savoury flavour with subtle sweetness, it holds its shape well when cooked, it’s an excellent alternative to sea bass or bream and offers fantastic value for money. Pan-fry, grill, and roast are the best cooking methods.

Upon receiving your grey mullet, we recommend eating it fresh within 3 days for the best flavour. It is also suitable for freezing, which we recommend doing immediately in order to retain its freshness.
